The Kings are looking to steal one in Toronto, Thunder and the Blazers clash in Oklahoma while Mavericks and Clippers aim to get their season back on track. Here’s NBA betting tips, January 23. Bet on the NBA on our website here.
Toronto Raptors v Sacramento Kings
The Kings visit the number two seed in the Eastern Conference and will look to bounce back following a blowout loss against the Brooklyn Nets on Monday. The Kings, who have a 24-23 record, played dismally in the second half at Brooklyn where they were outscored 68-34. Generally, the Kings are on a decent run of form with just two losses in their last five matches. The Raptors continued with their excellent season recording yet another victory over a struggling Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday. However, they’ll be facing a sharpshooting team in Kings and will need a victory as they chase number one seed, the Milwaukee Bucks, in their conference. The Raptors have won this fixture the last three times. Their best player, All-Star Kawhi Leonard will definitely be involved given he sat out Saturday’s game. The Kings have improved this season with the 17th best offense in the league, but their performance at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn leaves much to be desired as they head to Toronto. Match Tip: Home Win and Over 228.5 Points at Odds of 2.10.
Oklahoma City Thunder v Portland Trail Blazers
This game between playoff teams should be a thriller. Both teams are in the competitive Western Conference Northwest Division. The Thunder are coming into this game after two straight wins over Philadelphia 76ers and the New York Knicks which ended a terrible run of one win in six games. The Blazers are on good form winning their last three games. The Thunder failed to beat their rivals in all four games they faced each other last season. However, Billy Donovan’s men won the last fixture thanks to a great performance from Paul George. Both teams seat comfortably in playoff places. Thunder are the third seed while the Blazers are fourth. With their impressive backcourt of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum Portland can cause a lot of problems for the Thunder who have a pretty good defense. This game can go either way and given it will involve stars from both sides, an entertaining showdown is likely. Match Tip Home Win and Over 228.5 points at Odds of 2.70.
Dallas Mavericks v Los Angeles Clippers
Both teams are in desperate need of wins. The Clippers have lost seven of their last 11 games while the Mavericks have dropped seven of their last nine. Before beating San Antonio Spurs, the visitors had dropped five straight games but sit seventh in the Western Conference. The Mavericks on the other hand have been on a dismal form losing four straight games. This game will be a close one. Clippers average 110.8 points per game, tenth best in the league. Meanwhile, the hosts score 108.1 points per game this season and have a better defense than the Clippers, which could come in handy in stopping their best player Tobias Harris who scores 21 points per contest. This game is expected to be highly contested as both teams will look to avoid losing. Match Tip: Over 222.5 points at Odds of 1.75.
Phoenix Suns v Minnesota Timberwolves
The Suns are almost out of the playoff picture. They sit bottom of the Western Conference standings with a 11-37 record. They’ve won twice in the last ten and will be facing a Timberwolves team aiming to make the playoffs for the second straight year. The Wolves are having kind of a stop start season failing to get some consistency in their results. They won the last contest behind Derrick Rose’s 31 points. Wolves will enter the arena on Tuesday hoping for an easy win against one of the league’s worst teams. Match Tip: Away Win and Over 227.5 Points at Odds of 2.55.
